my sister got in a really bad bike wreck when we were little, she was out bleeding in the street and stuck under her bike.
one of our neighbors saw her, turned around, and went inside without helping.
I was around six and learned that some people don't care what happens to us because of the color of our skin. people of color don't learn about racism in school or after "shocking" elections.we learn about it from events like this.
